The index is a Price index and was developed with a base value of 1000 as of Sepember 22, 1997. The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) (Romanian: Bursa de Valori București) is the stock exchange of Romania located in Bucharest. As of November 2017, there are 88 companies (87 local and 1 international) listed on BVB's regulated market and 299 companies listed on AeRO market ( 297 local and 2 international) with a total market capitalization of €35.6 billion ($42.6 billion).
